Cerec Crowns Whistler, B.C.
CEREC Crowns are designed from the world's most advanced dental restoration system. We are one of only a few offices in Canada to offer this wonderful benefit to our patients. This computerized system allows us to design and cement crowns in ONE visit right here in our office. It uses the latest advancements in ceramic allowing metal free crown restorations for both back and front teeth, eliminating unsightly black lines along the gum line. Due to the exact capabilities of this computerized system, only the damaged portion of the tooth is removed enabling us to save much more of the natural tooth structure. These crowns are strong, long lasting and have an absolutely stunning, natural appearance. Traditionally, the preparation of crowns involved two appointments. The first appointment involved receiving anesthetic, preparing the tooth, taking a gooey impression and placing an uncomfortable and unsightly temporary to get you through the 2-3 week waiting period while the dental laboratory designed your new tooth. Your second appointment required more anesthetic, removing the temporary and the placement of your new tooth. Today, this is NOT the case. Thanks to our leading edge experience and state of the art computer technology, we design your new crown in ONE fast appointment! No more multiple appointments, multiple freezing, gooey impressions, annoying temporaries or 2 week delays! Sit back, relax and watch us design your new tooth with CEREC. Metal, Gold & Full Porcelain Crowns require the following procedure steps for completion: The first visit involves preparing the tooth by removing the enamel and dentin to allow room for the crown. You will be given anesthetic for this procedure. An impression of your teeth and gums is taken and sent to a dental laboratory to design your custom fit crown. You are fitted with a temporary crown while the lab works on the new tooth design. 2-3 weeks may be required before the second visit. The second visit consists of applying the new crown. The temporary crown is removed and the permanent crown is cemented. The crown is permanent and works as a protective cover adding strength to your tooth structure and improving the overall appearance of your tooth.
